IITD Concludes “University Entrepreneurship” Session at BOUNCE 2025

IITD of Seoul National University participated in BOUNCE 2025, held from September 22 to 23 at BEXCO, where it operated a collaborative booth and hosted an unconference session.

Established in 2024 to address the crisis of regional population decline by forming alliances with regional universities and contributing to regional economic revitalization, IITD participated in the BOUNCE event for the second consecutive year. Following its first participation last year, when it hosted the University Consortium Entrepreneurship Networking Day, IITD organized a “University Entrepreneurship” unconference session this year under the theme “Youth · Region · Entrepreneurship — Connecting Here and Now.”

The program planned and operated by IITD at BOUNCE 2025 was composed of two main sessions. In the first session, teams that won the 2025 Regional Startup Solverthon Competition participated in PR pitching and an on-site voting event targeting investors and general visitors attending the event. In the second panel talk session, a talk concert was held under the theme of real-world cases and challenges of youth entrepreneurship at regional universities, where participants shared candid experiences and engaged in Q&A sessions with the audience to build empathy.

The teams that participated and presented in the university entrepreneurship session were regional youth startups that won the 2025 Regional Startup Solverthon Competition. These included Growith (CEO Kang Myungjun), which developed an autonomous water-surface robot for water quality improvement; Oslo (CEO Juhan Jeon), which recycles discarded clothing into eco-friendly fiber panels used as architectural interior materials; Flexcraft (CEO Seungchan Kim), which developed a fanless hybrid PCM graphite Peltier thermal management solution; and Seomlution (CEO Seonghwan Jeon), which developed eco-certified buoys that reduce microplastics through upcycling of agricultural and fishing byproducts.

The youth entrepreneurs who participated in the unconference session expressed positive feedback on IITD’s program planning. One participant commented, “Early-stage youth entrepreneurs in regional areas rarely have opportunities to receive feedback from the general public and advice from experts, and this session was extremely helpful as it allowed us to receive direct feedback.” Another participant stated, “This session gave us an opportunity to communicate directly with the public and introduce our company,” adding, “Through networking, we gained new information and investment opportunities, which will be of great help in operating our business going forward.”
